Potomac Highlands United Way launches 2 new grant programs (wvnews.com) ā From its Cumberland office, Potomac Highlands United Way is rolling out two new grant programs that can directly help Allegany County families and nonprofits. Working with HRDC and other partners, the ALICE Crisis Diversion Fund offers up to $1,000 for sudden emergencies, while Meeting the Moment Grants provide flexible funding for local organizations tackling education, health, and basic needs.

Record ENOUGH Funding Brings $32 Million To Maryland Communities Fighting Child Poverty (thebaynet.com) ā Cumberlandās South Penn and John Humbird neighborhoods are among 30 Maryland communities sharing a record $32 million in ENOUGH Initiative grants to fight child poverty. State leaders say the funding, plus related Produce Rx and other grants, will back local plans that improve food access, jobs, and family stability, potentially bringing millions in new resources into Allegany County.
