Suspect Used Prostitution Earnings to Run Drug Business: Police
Two women were freed from human trafficking in Anne Arundel County, police say, and a Glen Burnie man was arrested.

A Glen Burnie man allegedly used proceeds from his prostitution business to finance his illegal drug sales, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Jessie Gene Vaughn, 34, of 6419 Lamplighter Ridge in Glen Burnie, has been charged with multiple offenses related to human trafficking and prostitution, as well as distribution and possession of oxycodone.

Two weeks ago authorities received a tip that Vaughn was involved in human trafficking. Detectives say two women were trafficked by Vaughn, who advertised the women on websites and provided security while they were engaging in prostitution in Anne Arundel County.
Proceeds from the prostitution were used by Vaughn to further his criminal enterprise, police say. Investigators also purchased oxycodone pills from the suspect.

Vice detectives worked closely with local non-profit groups to assist the trafficking victims with counseling, education and other forms of support.
