Late Celebrity Chef Dined In HdG, Called It 'Heaven' — A celebrity chef who died in September paid a visit to Havre de Grace before he passed away. While there, he ate at one of the city's celebrated eateries. He tweeted a photo of a crab cake he said was "heaven."

Death Of 2-Year-Old In Havre de Grace Was Homicide: Police — Two-year-old Aubrey Olivia Hickman was the victim in a January homicide that stunned residents. Nearly a year later, police arrested and charged Brenton John Alexander Mills, 25, with the murder.

Harford State Legislator Apologizes For Using Racial Slur — State Delegate Mary Ann Lisanti, a Democrat from Havre de Grace, was removed from a leadership position in the Maryland General Assembly for using a racial slur. Lisanti apologized to fellow lawmakers and the public on Tuesday for using the N-word to refer to a majority-African American part of the state.

Kissing Bug Found In Delaware, Maryland 'Not Concerned': Report — Federal health officials have in April verified that a kissing bug has been found in Delaware. It is the first time the insect, which can transmit the potentially life-threatening Chagas disease, was confirmed in that state.

HdG Man Indicted On 30 Sex Offenses — Matthew Lee Pinder of Havre de Grace was indicted in July in connection with a sexual relationship with a juvenile runaway. He was indicted on 15 counts of second-degree rape and 15 counts of third-degree sex offense.

Police Chase From PA To Maryland: 2 In Custody, 1 At Large — In May, a police pursuit that started in Pennsylvania traveled into Maryland, where two teens were arrested. One suspect remained at large after crashing into a marked Maryland State Police patrol car on Interstate 95 near Perryville.

HdG Man Charged With Assaulting Deputy — Xavier Alexander Stanfield of Havre de Grace was charged after authorities said he drove away from a traffic stop and injured a Harford County deputy. Following a brief pursuit, deputies arrested him and also said they located drugs in the vehicle.

WXCY Sold To Media Group As Part Of Radio Deal — The Havre de Grace-based country station WXCY, or 103.7 FM, announced in February it would change owners. It was owned by Delmarva Broadcasting, a division of Steinman Communications of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
