Car Hit Tree After Driver Fled Traffic Stop: Police
Two were injured trying to escape a traffic stop near White Marsh, Maryland State Police reported.

Two people were hospitalized after a police chase on Interstate 95 that started with a traffic stop near White Marsh, according to Maryland State Police.
After midnight on Wednesday, a trooper from the JFK Barrack stopped a 2001 Acura on I-95 south near White Marsh, Maryland State Police reported.
The trooper was conducting the stop for speeding, according to Gregory Shipley, spokesman for Maryland State Police.

As the trooper approached the vehicle on foot, the Acura sped off, the report said.
The trooper pursued the Acura at a distance that enabled him to see only the taillights, according to the report.

When the Acura got off on I-895 at the Moravia Road exit, police said officers stopped trying to catch up to the vehicle but did “continue on in the direction the vehicle was heading.”
They found the car had crashed into a tree at the intersection of Moravia Road and Walther Avenue, police reported.
The driver—Antonio Albright Jr., 22, of Baltimore—and his passenger—Avery Walton Jr., 23, of Baltimore—were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of their injuries, according to the report.
The Baltimore Police Department responded and so did the state police crash team, the report said.
The state’s attorney’s offices in both Baltimore City and Baltimore County have been briefed on the situation and charges are pending, according to police.
