
Local folk supporters came out Tuesday night to hear some music and raise money for the Takoma Park Folk Festival.
Beth Rinaldo, Scott Holland and Mark Sylvester, a folk/blues themed three-piece band treated diners to what they could expect at the September festival.
Families and couples intermingled in the main rooms of El Golfo, bolstering business on this warm night.

Holland, the lead guitar player for the evening, is also one of the volunteer coordinators for the festival.ย ย
โWeโre supporting the 7th Heaven stage tonightโฆwhich is the first year that the stage has been added to the rest of the festival.โ He said.

โBeth and I have been playing together for about ten years, in various incarnations,โ he shares.ย โThis is a really good turn out tonightโฆhopefully it translates into people coming out to the festival itself.โย
Mark Gabert, a Takoma resident father said who attended the fundraiser said the festival is important to him and his family.
ย โWe love the folk festival here in Takoma Park and are happy to know that we could come and try a new restaurant while showing our support,โ he said.
The Takoma Park Folk Festival will be held on Sunday September 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m at Takoma Park Middle School.
