The Netflix show was in Towson on Thursday, Baltimore County government officials reported.

TOWSON, MD — The crew from House of Cards was in Towson this week, filming scenes for the Netflix show off Chesapeake Avenue.

"Looks like President Underwood is back at the Historic Courthouse," Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz posted on Facebook on Thursday with a photo of production equipment for the show.

The County Council Chambers was turned into a set where the House of Representatives convened, according to Councilman Todd Crandell.

While many of the scenes for the political drama are supposed to appear to be in D.C., during the third season Towson was actually referenced by name as the place where hacker Gavin Orsay (played by Jimmi Simpson) was getting tested for a sexually transmitted disease at a health clinic.

A chunk of the production for House of Cards has taken place in Harford County, where the production company has a sound stage.

Season five will be released on Netflix on May 30, which the show's creators announced the day of the inauguration for Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of the U.S.
