UPDATED: Carroll County Schools Make Weather Decision
Schools and other agencies made adjustments based on weather.

Public schools in Carroll County are closed on Monday, Jan. 12.
Previously, Carroll County Public Schools announced that there would be a two-hour delay on Monday, Jan. 12, due to weather, but changed the decision to a closure before 8 a.m. Schools are closed, and liberal leave is in effect for 12-month employees.
Much of the state including Carroll County was under a freezing rain advisory Monday morning, and transportation officials warned roads could be icy.

The Maryland Transportation Authority reportedwere “dangerous driving conditions on many roads this morning,” at approximately 7:30 a.m.

Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Cecil, Howard, Montgomery andPrince George’s county public schools are delayed two hours.
Harford County Public Schools and Baltimore County Public Schools in the Hereford zone are closed.
McDaniel College is closed.
Liberal leave is in effect for state of Maryland employees starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 12, until the end of the day shift. Essential emergency personnel should report to work on time.
Federal government offices in the D.C. area are opening two hours late on Monday and employees have the option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
