Iconic pub closing after 50 years in Boston
Clarke's, which has been open on the corner of Merchants Row and Chatham Street since 1975 is closing. The Faneuil Hall landmark shared the news in a social media post on Saturday.
Mall retail favorite closing stores
Home fragrance retailer Bath & Body Works has closed nearly 100 stores in the past year as it transitions from a mall mainstay to a brand with a wider variety of points of entry for shoppers, according to the company.
Bath & Body Works operates at least 25 stores in Massachusetts, including in Braintree, Burlington, Marlborough, Plymouth, Salem and Saugus.
Three Mass. companies plan layoffs this week
Companies laying off employees in the Bay State include Charles River Laboratories, Legends Global and Boston Electrometallurgical Corp., better known as Boston Metal.
This comes as two dozen U.S. employers across multiple industries announced layoffs for this week.
Custom golf fitting company expanding in Mass
Club Champion is set to debut its Downtown Boston location at the 125 High Street Building, expanding its footprint in the region as demand for custom golf club fitting continues to grow.
While the business has not yet announced when the new location will open, it said it will open soon.
