Banking giant bringing 300 jobs with upcoming Boston move

JPMorganChase announced it would relocate to the newly constructed South Station Tower beginning in early 2028, according to a news release. The major multinational banking institution will occupy more than eight floors and host up to 1,000 employees.

The bank said it also has plans to add more than 300 new jobs in the coming years across all lines of business, including opening new Chase branches across New England.

New tennis club now serving in Greater Boston

Court 16, a new indoor tennis facility, opened its first Boston-area location at 300 Needham St. in Newton on Tuesday.

The facility features four tennis courts that are multiple different sizes, including the professional full-size 72-foot format.

Mass. consumers lose about $2.4 billion to scams each year

Residents of Massachusetts lose an estimated $2.4 billion a year to online scams, according to a new report that shows Americans as a whole are being tricked out of $119 billion a year — far more than official estimates suggest.

The biggest culprits are Meta’s Facebook and Instagram, according to the new “scam economy” report from the Consumer Federation of America.

Five popular eateries are opening at this Mass. landmark

A handful of new businesses are expected to open this year and next in Boston's newly renovated Commonwealth Pier. Patch covered it on TikTok.

Salt & Straw, a beloved ice cream shop known for its unique flavors; the popular health-food eatery LifeAlive Organic Café; the neighborhood kitchen Daily Provisions; and the famous Italian eatery Ci Siamo are just some of the businesses opening there in 2026.

Earls Kitchen + Bar is also expected to open at Commonwealth Pier in 2027.
