Popular women's retailer opens first Mass. location

LoveShackFancy is slated to open its doors on 27 Boylston St. at The Street Chestnut Hill on Friday. The company specializes in clothing and accessory collections for women and children, footwear and home decor.

High-end eatery closes after eight-year run

The Federal, an upscale surf-and-turf eatery at 74 Tower Rd. in Waltham, has closed for good, according to a post on Friday on the restaurant’s website.

Popular coworking space in Central Mass. to close

Workbar will close its Worcester location on Apr. 12, its manager, Henry Rich, told the Telegram & Gazette. The business is located on the second floor of 530 Main St.

The business offers coworking and private office spaces along with amenities, like meeting rooms, internet and special zones for collaboration.

Job cuts planned at South Shore senior care provider

South Shore Elder Services, a Braintree nonprofit that provides home care for older people, plans to cut 52 jobs – roughly a third of its workforce.

The business plans to lay off the employees in June, as it considers joining forces with a similar organization in Brockton.
