MASSACHUSETTS — Massachusetts diners will have plenty of new spots to try this summer, with 11 restaurants preparing to open across the state in the coming weeks
From donut shops and tequila bars to a highly anticipated ice cream shop, the lineup gives food lovers a fresh list of places to watch as warmer weather arrives.
Salt & Straw is opening at the updated Commonwealth Pier at 200 Seaport Blvd. in Boston this summer. The business is known for fun flavors and menu items like pear and blue cheese, Concord grape nut crumble and cinnamon snickerdoodle.
Health cafe Life Alive will also open there, along with neighborhood kitchen Daily Provisions, which opened last week, and the famous Italian eatery Ci Siamo, which will open a second location of its New York City-based live-fire Italian restaurant.
Cape Cod Coffee Co. plans to open its first Boston-area location next month at South Shore Plaza in Braintree. The coffee shop and roastery have been a staple on Cape Cod for more than half a century.
Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar will open a restaurant at the Burlington Mall this summer. Rocco's has 11 other locations in Florida and New York. The Burlington restaurant will be its first in Massachusetts.
Naya, a fast-casual Lebanese-inspired restaurant chain that began 18 years ago in New York City, plans to open a branch at Shopper’s World in Framingham late this summer, the MetroWest Daily News reported.
Ralph Lauren will open a retail store and its famous coffee brand, Ralph's Coffee, in the city's Seaport neighborhood. The two businesses will open on Jul. 30 in The Superette on Seaport Boulevard.
Yard House is opening at The Shops at Blackstone Valley in Millbury on Jun. 15.
Known for its large beer selection and expansive menu, Yard House serves bar favorites including jumbo Bavarian pretzels, sliders, pizzas and steaks.
Union Square Donuts is opening a new location at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham later this summer. The Somerville-based business, founded in 2012, is best known for its homemade donuts with fun flavor combinations and a craft coffee menu.
Two celebrated national restaurants will open their first North Shore locations in Peabody this year.
Simon Properties said Fogo de Chão and Shake Shack will both open at Northshore Mall in Peabody, with the Brazilian steakhouse set to open this summer and Shake Shack on the promenade next to Immersive Gamebox later this year.
