Rash Of Home Break-Ins Hits Arlington [VIDEO]
Police say 11 homes have been broken into since September, including seven so far this month.

ARLINGTON, MA – Police are warning residents of a recent spate of home break-ins in Arlington. Eleven homes have been broken into since September, including seven so far this month, according to police. The break-ins have happened mainly between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Targeted homes are typically on or close to a street corner, police say. The suspect usually enters through a rear window or a side of the home that cannot be seen from the street. In one recent break-in on Moulton Road, the suspect was caught on camera using a flashlight to search the living room.

Jewelry, cash, handheld electronics and camera equipment have been stolen. The suspect is described as a 6-foot-1 man with a thin build and light complexion, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, long pants, sneakers and gloves.

"We are actively investigating these break-ins, and we ask the members of our community to call 911 immediately if they witness any suspicious or unusual activity in their neighborhood," Chief Frederick Ryan said in a statement. "Our residents are our eyes and ears. If you see something, say something."
Anyone who has information about the break ins, or who may have video footage of an incident is asked to call the Arlington Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau at 781-316-3910.
