Burlington Relay for Life Team "Cancer Curing Cuties" Invites 7th Graders to Dance for a Cure
7th grade dance to be held April 30th.

Burlington's seventh-grade students are invited to hit the dance floor to help support cancer research.
On Saturday, April 30th The American Cancer Society Burlington Relay for Life Team “Cancer Curing Cuties” will be hosting a fundraiser “Dance for a Cure” for all 7th grade students in Burlington.
The dance will be held at, 99 Bedford St. from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and only 100 will be sold. Tickets can be purchased by contacting a team member or Shelley Joyce at sjoyce1111@verizon.net.

Team “Cancer Curing Cuties” consists of ten students from the 7th grade at . They have been meeting together as a group frequently in the months leading to up the event, and although the girls are involved in many extracurricular activities, they make every effort to attend the meetings. They are very dedicated to their team and to the cause. The team has dedicated parents as well, who have been very involved in the planning of the event, and they will also act as chaperones at the dance.
According to a release from the team, through the efforts of the team they were able to get everything donated for the event. The hall, tickets, decorations, D. J. services, refreshments and snacks, glow necklaces, and raffles items (which includes two sets of Boston Red Sox tickets), were all generously donated allowing 100 percent of the proceeds from this event to benefit The American Cancer Society.

"The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease," the release states. "Please help support this amazing group of 7th grade students to reach their goal of $5,000 for this wonderful cause."
This year's American Cancer Society Burlington Relay for Life set to be held at the in the evening of June 11 to the morning of June 12 and the organizers are reaching out to the community to get involved.
