Wilmington Girls Hoops Runs Past Red Devils

Wildcats thump Burlington, 48-28, for home win.

Wilmington's girls basketball team served as rude guests on Friday night, dominating play throughout and cruising to a 48-28 victory over Burlington.

The Red Devils scored just six points in the first half as the hosts built up a massive lead. Things did brighten a bit more in the second frame for Burlington as the locals began sinking shots from long distance.

With the win, Wilmington improved to 9-3 on the campaign, 4-1 in league play. That mark is good enough for first place in the Middlesex League Small School Division.
