Bomb Squad Detonates Large Firework In Falmouth
A commercial-grade firework washed up in Falmouth Wednesday, police said.
FALMOUTH, MA — An unexploded, commercial-grade firework washed ashore in Falmouth Wednesday. The cannonball-shaped device was found by Surf Drive, police said. The State Police bomb squad responded to the area to secure the device.

The bomb squad then exploded the ordinance Wednesday afternoon during a controlled detonation at the Town Leaf dump. Last week, a naval flare washed ashore in Falmouth and the bomb squad detonated that device, too.
