Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. WAREHAM, MA – Officials on Monday identified the people fatally struck by a Christmas-themed train Saturday night as 33-year-old Melissa Gaudette and 36-year-old Edwin Benitez-Figueroa, both of Wareham. Family members said they were married with three children. Investigators told Gaudette's father the couple was on the tracks when they were hit, <a href="https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2018/11/18/protecting-families-board-christmas-train-came-first-said-emt-who-was-onboard/fFHjYuGq9LaZl1QkPcjZqO/story.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">according to the Boston Globe</a>. The conductor tried multiple times to stop the train and activated its emergency brakes prior to the collision, according to the Plymouth District Attorney's office. The train, which was full of first responders and their families, struck the couple around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night. It had left Buzzards Bay about 30 minutes prior carrying 355 passengers.
