Three people are dead after a firey crash into a home, an elderly pedestrian is struck and killed, and police make a major drug bust. Those are just a few of the stories impacting Massachusetts today.

A family in Plainville was stunned Sunday night when an airplane crashed into their home around 6 p.m. Three people were aboard the plane, and authorities have identified them as a family from Tennessee.

Also, another elderly pedestrian was hit by a car in Arlington, not the first such fatal accident in the town recently; gunshots brought police to a Manchester, NH, home, leading to the arrest of a Massachusetts man in one of the largest heroin busts in recent memory; another Massachusetts man was charged with trafficking heroin in a separate incident; and three teenagers were indicted for manslaughter after a brutal, fatal beating.

It wasn’t all mayhem around the state today, though. There was some good news for drivers as gas prices are on the decline across the state just in time for the holiday weekend.
