Malden Teacher Being Investigated For Reported Incident Involving High School Student

The Linden School educator has been placed on administrative leave.

MALDEN, MA — A teacher at the Linden School has been placed on administrative leave as he is being investigated in connection with an incident involving a high school student, according to Superintendent of Schools Timothy Sippel.

Sippel described the teacher’s reported involvement as a “serious incident” that occurred outside of the school and not during working hours.

“Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure our students' safety, Malden Public Schools immediately placed the employee on administrative leave. The district will fully cooperate with relevant law enforcement agencies in their investigation of the allegations,” Sippel wrote in an email to the district on Thursday, Feb. 19. “Please be assured we will continue to do everything necessary to protect the safety of our students and staff, which is our highest priority.”
