Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center Gets New Road

The approach road to Marlborough’s is finally getting a new lease of life. Previously riddled with potholes and an uneven surface, the road was hardly up to the standard required for the city’s largest hotel and premier trade and event venue. This hotel is in fact the largest facility outside of Boston with 431 rooms, 10 suites and 11 accessible rooms.

According to the hotel’s General Manager, Rick Skinner, the road upgrade project has been a year-and-a-half in the making and has been a costly project in the six figures that the hotel has had to bear as it is a private road.

The payoff will no doubt be worth it in the long run as the Trade Center is booked throughout the year with local, regional and even international events that draw large crowds and boost Marlborough’s tourism and hospitality industry.
