Over 100 inches of snow, nearly frozen waves—and now icebergs on land.

This winter has been one of the harshest on record for the region. Proof: a Wellfleet photographer last week captured huge icebergs that washed ashore on Cape Cod.

The Boston area has received 105.7 inches of snow this winter—just shy of the record of 107.6 inches set in 1995/96.

Giants chunks of sea ice have caused boats to get stuck and officials have restrictednavigation in the Cape Cod Canal. The extreme cold even made ocean waves appear frozen, as captured by another Cape Cod photographer:
