Armed Roller Blader Robberies Target Medford/Malden Border

According to a report from Fox 25, nine similar armed robberies have taken place since Feb. 19 in the vicinity of the Medford/Malden border. It is believed the crimes are related.

The crook - or crooks, it’s unclear which - are targeting “standalone, mom and pop-style stores,” police told Fox, and at least one establishment has been victimized more than once.

The source reports that in one of the robberies, the thief arrived at the scene on roller blades, then changed into sneakers before looting the cash register.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspect or suspects, on display in the Fox report embedded below.
