AfricaFest is an annual event that brings the Tufts campus community together for a day of intellectual and cultural activities. Highlights of the program include a symposium on development issues organized by the Tufts Collaborative on Africa, a performance workshop on music and dance by Nani Agbeli (Department of Music), and a screening of the film Kinshasa Symphony, presented by Peter Probst (Department of Art and Art History). An evening performance featuring the Agbekor Drum and Dance Society concludes the day of Africana activities.
