Award-winning hard bop pianist Cedar Walton, known for his compositions (Bolivia, Clockwise, and Firm Roots), which have become jazz standards, brings his quartet to Tufts. In the 1950s and 1960s, Walton performed with and composed for such jazz giants as John Coltrane, Art Blakey, Abbey Lincoln, and Lee Morgan, and in the years since he has toured and recorded with his own combos the world over.
