The First Patriots: Rebels at Riverbend Park tells the story of life in 18th century Medford, in particular during the Siege of Boston, April 19 1775 through March 17, 1776. During the weekend, we have planned military drills, fife and drum music, colonial school, craft demonstrations, and some local organizations will be present. The event takes place in beautiful Mystic Riverbend Park, adjacent to the McGlynn and Andrews Schools. It is an accessible site for everyone, provides ample opportunity for activities (including the river walk, playgrounds and ballparks) is well shaded and is visible pretty much from anywhere nearby.
