Howl-O-Ween Comes to Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Faneuil Hall Marketplace will be hosting its second annual Halloween Pet Parade on Saturday October 25th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm

Faneuil Hall Marketplace Merchants Association will be hosting its second annual Halloween Pet Parade on Saturday October 25th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the West End of the property. Dress your pet up in their best costume and parade around the Marketplace. The most unique pet costumes will win. Howl-O-Ween activities will be taking place throughout the Marketplace with pet vendors, pet portrait artists, music and more! Get into the Halloween spirit and have some fun at one of Boston’s most historic sites.

“Faneuil Hall Marketplace is excited to celebrate Halloween with our second annual pet parade,” said Carol Troxell, president of the Faneuil Hall Merchants Association. “We look forward to seeing the creative pet costumes around the Marketplace. It’s such a great event for dog, cat and Halloween lovers alike!”

The Halloween Pet Parade begins at 12:00pm in the West End and will be hosted by Chris Shine from Magic 106.7. Prizes for pets will be awarded at 1:00pm for “Top 3 Best of Show,” “Best Owner & Pet Combo,” “Best Local Representation,” and “Most Creative.”

Prize baskets feature gift cards and goodies from merchants including: Dick’s Last Resort, Wagamama, Pajama Party (Sock it to Me), Regina Pizzeria, Stuck on Stickpins, Wicked Good Cupcakes, KeepYourPantsOn.com/Belt Shop, Make Way for Ducklings, The Color Stores/ Best of Boston, Sprinkles Ice Cream & Fudge Shoppe, Kilvert & Forbes Bakeshop and Maggie’s Sweets, L’Attitude Boston Boutique, Quincy’s Place, and Durgin-Park.

Pets and their owners can have their photos taken in their spooky costumes, or have their portrait painted by pet portrait artist, Melissa King from Pawblo Picasso. WellPet will be giving out free samples of their nutritious and healthy pet food and treats. Brittney Bang from Audrey’s Rescue Angels will also be at the event selling her new book, “Rescue Pets of Boston,” and all proceeds go to animal welfare organizations in Massachusetts.
