It's a Toilet, Not a Wastebasket! Medford Student Wins Honorable Mention in MWRA Writing Contest
We are pleased to announce that Rose Ridge, a sixth-grader at the Andrews Middle School, Medford, won Honorable Mention in MWRA’s Annual Writing Contest for her essay “Personal Trash Can?”
This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters, essays and short videos to promote the importance of flushing responsibly. Nearly 4,000 students entered the contest.
All of the winning posters and essays are available for viewing on www.mwra.com and at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum through the July 4th weekend. The videos are posted on MWRA's YouTube page.
