Medford High Senior Gets State Honor

Medford High senior Carly Roy was recently named to the All-State Journalism Staff. She is one of just five students statewide to be selected by the Massachusetts Scholastic Press Association.

Roy is the photo editor for the Mustang Yearbook staff. Her photos have been featured in the Mustang yearbook each of the past two years, as well the Medford Transcript and the school's literary magazine. She is the founder and president of the Medford High School Photography Club.

To be considered, Roy had to submit an online portfolio of their work, a journalism resume, and a two-page reflection of their life in journalism.

This is the first year an All-State Staff has been named.
