Medford to Host 'Sisters in Song' Concert Benefit

The event benefiting the Ellie Fund will come to Medford Sept. 30.

MEDFORD, MA – Sisters in Song is coming to Medford later this month for its 5th annual concert benefitting the Ellie Fund.

Founded in 1995 in honor of Eleanor Popkin, the Ellie Fund provides pro bono critical support to patients in the Bay State undergoing breast cancer treatment. Services include help with groceries, transportation, light housekeeping, childcare reimbursement and prepared meals.

The performance, A Beautiful Pair 5: "Words of Love," brings multiple generations together for an evening of music to "celebrate the spirit of healing within our communities," co-founder Stacy Arambages said in a statement.

The performance in Medford is scheduled for Fri., Sept. 30 at Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High St. at 7:30 p.m.

A donation of $20 is requested and tickets will be available 30 minutes before each performance at the door or at https://www.eventbrite.com/d/ma/sisters-in-song/.

Performances are also slated for Sat., Oct. 1 at St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield and Sun., Oct. 2 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Lynn.

Donations can be made online at www.elliefund.org. Donors are asked to mention Sisters in Song when submitting their donation.
