Medford Native to Star in Upcoming Film 'Black Mass'
Julianne Nicholson plays the wife of a crooked FBI agent in the film, which will be in theaters on Sept. 18.

Julianne Nicholson, a native of Medford, is set to star in the soon-to-be released movie ”Black Mass,” about Boston gangster “Whitey” Bulger.
In the film, Nicholson plays Marianne Connolly, the wife of crooked FBI agent John Connolly. Despite serving as law enforcement officials, John is loyal to Bulger.
Nicholson has previously appeared in the hit television shows “Boardwalk Empire,” “Masters of Sex,” and “Law & Order.” The 44-year-old has been acting since 1997.

She attended Hunter College in New York to study modeling, which ultimately helped to jump start her career.
Black Mass is set to hit movie theaters in America on Sept. 18.
