Medford Schools 'Pennies' Means Hundreds For Research
The kids organized it, and it raised more than $600 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The following is from Medford Public Schools:
Pennies for Patients, organized by the MHS/MTHS Yearbook Staff, raised a total of $612 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. According to their advisor, Mr. Ambrose, “The members of the yearbook staff did a great job organizing this fund-raising drive. Mr. Gia Nguyen’s homeroom had the most donations from all the senior homerooms, and Ms. Meghan Coyne’s had the most donations from the junior homerooms”.
Per pennies.org; “Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country. The funds, collected during a three-week period, benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Students across the country are collecting pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters during the Pennies for Patients campaigns benefiting the Society.”
