Medford Students Shines as 'UN Delegates'
Twenty-nine students from addressed pressing world issues, taking home some awards at the end.

Medford students won awards last week at the 2017 Innovative Model United Nations Conference at Northeastern.
Twenty-nine students from the Andrews Middle School and Medford High joined students from across the region and were 'UN delegates,' addressing world issues.
Middle school students were challenged to develop a collective approach to international food security and high school students worked to address nuclear proliferation, according to Medford Public Schools.
Medford students won multiple awards, including best public speaker, best negotiators, and best position papers.

"The Humanities Department of the Medford Public Schools is proud to support the hard work of our students, their advisors History teachers Michael DiClemente and Liz Daneu, and the Model UN program for cultivating an active and responsible consideration of our fellow men and women across the globe," MPS said.
Andrews Middle School students taking part were: Sean Green, Jordan Ianakiev, Joshua Jean-Rene, Isaiah Jones, Teagan Mustone, Dominick Terranova, Satya Vaught.

Medford High School students were: Tyler Ngyuen, Emily Antunes, Ryan Thorn, Rhiannon Arnold, Sam Graves, Simran Singh, Lydia Ryan, Lucy Heinz, Evan Marks, Christian Gatti, Camilla Hollingsworth, Kayla Beardsley, Leena Ziane, Najma Jama, Carson Kurtz-Rossi, Scott McGoldrick, Abby McCarthy, Sophia Leggio, Iragi Nkera, Maria Carmona, Ailish Fallon, and Jiyoung Ahn.
