Tucci, former assistant principal of MHS, became acting principal of McGlynn in March after Jake Edwards was placed on leave.

MEDFORD, MA – McGlynn Middle School Acting Principal Nicholas Tucci was installed as Jake Edwards' permanent replacement Friday. Tucci had assumed the role March 15 after Edwards was placed on paid administrative leave amid a review into the McGlynn gun magazine incident.

A spokesperson for the city said Edwards' contract expires at the end of the school year and was not renewed.

During his tenure at Medford High, he has served as the Key Club Advisor and the varsity baseball coach, leading the Mustangs to the playoffs three years in a row.
