Samurai Sword Used To Stab Medford Delivery Driver: Officials

The 18-year-old suspect was ordered held without bail Tuesday.

MEDFORD, MA – A man accused of stabbing a delivery driver with a samurai sword in Medford was ordered held without bail Tuesday, according to 7-News. Nicholas Davis, 18, faces a charge of armed assault to murder, the network reported.

Authorities say on Jan. 12, Davis ordered food from May's Café to a Washington Street address and stabbed the delivery driver, 42-year-old Liang Cheng, from behind. He then took some money from Cheng while he was on the ground, according to police.

Investigators arrested Davis after tracing the delivery order number, 7-News reported. At his arraignment Monday, the prosecutor said Davis had attempted another order earlier in the day, but the driver got nervous and left before completing the delivery.
