Teen Arraigned In Crash That Killed Newton Realtor
Police said Raza Khan was driving under the influence of drugs when he killed the Newton realtor and seriously injured two others.

MEDFORD, MA — The Medford teen that prosecutors said was unlicensed and on drugs when he crashed into three people, killing a Newton realtor and one of the other people's dogs, was arraigned in juvenile court Tuesday.
Raza Khan, 17, was indicted as a youth offender in connection with the April 29 crash that killed Judith Moses, 64, of Brookline and seriously injured to other pedestrians. He was charged in Cambridge Juvenile Court with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence, leaving the scene of a personal injury or death, and two counts of operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury.
Khan was released on conditions he stay under house arrest and have a GPS bracelet. His next court date is Feb. 13.

Prosecutors said shortly before 5 p.m. on April 29 he was driving a Toyota Rav4 in the area of Spring and Emerald streets when he struck and killed Moses. He then took a sharp turn and struck a 28-year-old female and 27-year-old male before crashing into a Citizen's Bank, the Middlesex DA's Office said. A dog that was with the victims was killed.
Khan, who had a learner's permit, was arrested and determined to be under the influence of drugs.

Khan had previously been arraigned as a juvenile on charges of operating under the influence causing serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of an accident causing death, negligent operation and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in connection with the fatal pedestrian crash.
Moses, a Newton-based realtor who was showing a home in Medford that day, was popular within the community. She lived in Chestnut Hill and was a real estate broker at Pathway Home Realty, but she was also active in her hometown of Brookline.
