NEWTON, MA — For families who want Easter brunch or dinner, along with the luxury of not having to cook it themselves, several Newton restaurants will be open Sunday, April 5, to take care of the preparation.

Don’t waste time, though. Tables book quickly.

Several upscale chains with locations near Newton have announced Easter hours as well, including familiar names like Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. It’s a good idea to call ahead for reservations.

Several casual restaurants are open for Easter as well, including Applebee’s, The Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s, Cracker Barrel, Olive Garden, Panera Bread, Perkins, Red Lobster and Texas Roadhouse.
