SOMERVILLE, MA — No one was injured in the aftermath of a vehicle fire that took place Thursday afternoon, according to the Somerville Fire Department.
Crews responded to the scene on the corner of Broadway and Liberty Avenue on Thursday afternoon to find the Mini Cooper engulfed in heavy smoke and flames, primarily emanating from the hood. The driver reportedly pulled over while traveling eastbound on Broadway after smelling and seeing smoke originating from his car. The extinguishing effort was completed relatively easily without major challenges.
Public Information Officer Victoria MacGregor told Patch that there is no additional information available at this time.
