Somerville Teen Had Loaded Gun At Red Sox Parade: Police

SOMERVILLE, MA – A Somerville teen was arrested at the Red Sox parade Wednesday after officers found a loaded handgun in his waistband, police said. Officers searched the 17-year-old boy on Tremont Street after a bystander reported seeing what looked like the handle of a gun in his pants.

Officers found a loaded 9-mm Raydon handgun, three bags of marijuana, loose pills and cash on the teen, according to police.

He will appear in Boston Juvenile Court on charges of delinquent to wit: unlawful possession of a firearm (subsequent offense), unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity feeding device and possession with intent to distribute Class B and D drugs.
