Stabbing At Home Of Somerville Mayor's Sister Under Investigation

The stabbing was reported outside a 100-person party at the home of Maria Curtatone last week.

SOMERVILLE, MA – A stabbing reported outside a party at the home of the mayor's sister last week is under investigation. Police responded to Prospect Hill Park shortly after 11 p.m. to break up a large fight, according to a police statement.

Officers found a juvenile suffering from multiple stab wounds, police said. An adult also suffered a blunt-trauma injury. Both injuries were non-life-threatening.

The fight happened outside a party with over 100 people, according to Wicked Local.

WCVB identified the home where the party took place as that of Maria Curtatone, Mayor Joseph Curtatone's sister. She is also the Register of Deeds for Middlesex South.

As of Monday, no arrests had been made. Mayor Curtatone's office said the mayor does not comment on active investigations.
