Suspected Crack Dealer Arrested In Somerville

SOMERVILLE, MA – Police arrested a 24-year-old man who was being investigated in connection with the dealing of cocaine and Xanax in Somerville. On Thursday, Dec. 27, officers saw Melrose resident Cameron Bourque talking to another person known to police outside of a shop on Temple Street.

Bourque, who had a warrant out for his arrest, entered the shop and was approached by detectives, according to the police report. When arresting Bourque, officers found a knife in his waistband and a clear baggie containing a white rocky substance believed to be crack cocaine in a nearby jacket, police said.

Bourque denied owning the jacket, but officers saw him take it off a put it on a chair when he entered the store and found his driver's license in one of the pockets, according to the police report. Other people nearby said the jacket did not belong to them.

Bourque was arrested on warrant charges of criminal harassment - subsequent offense (two counts), witness intimidation and threatening to commit a crime. He was also charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug.
