Sudbury To Mark 25th Anniversary Of September 11 Attacks (patch.com) — Sudbury is preparing a 25th anniversary ceremony at the September 11th Memorial Garden in Heritage Park to honor lives lost in the 2001 attacks, including three residents. Neighbors are invited to gather at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 11 at the Concord Road and Old Sudbury Road site, where plaques, benches, and Sudbury granite commemorate the town's connection to that day.

Sudbury Road Closed Due To Water Main Break (patch.com) — Sudbury drivers and residents along Dutton Road are dealing with a water main break that forced a temporary road closure between Hudson Road and Pratts Mill Road and cut service to several homes. Crews began planned repairs early Wednesday, but the situation escalated into a full closure, with officials warning of possible pressure changes and discolored water once service returns.
   

3. Sudbury Home Sales Climbed As Prices Fell In July (patch.com) — Sudbury's housing market saw a sharp jump in July home sales, even as median prices dropped compared to last year and inventory tightened. New data from the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS shows Sudbury bucking statewide trends, with more local deals closing while buyers pay slightly less than in 2025 and June.

Firefighters in Sudbury came to the rescue of a horse stuck in a wheelbarrow (boston.com) — Sudbury firefighters recently handled an unusual call when a horse named Liam got his hoof stuck in a wheelbarrow, prompting a careful disassembly rescue with help from the owner. The Sudbury Fire Department says Liam stayed calm, walked away uninjured, and even posed—reluctantly—for a thank-you photo that charmed social media followers.
   

5. 8-year-old camper struck by tree at Wayland YMCA camp dies (bostonherald.com) — An 8-year-old Sudbury boy died after a tree fell on him at Camp Chickami in Wayland, despite being airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Wayland police, fire officials, and YMCA leaders say the camp is closed while the community grieves and supports the boy's family and fellow campers.
