Senior Helpers of Westford is co-owned by Jim and Elizabeth DiGiorgio. Born and raised in Massachusetts and residents of the Nashoba Valley region for more than 30 years, the DiGiorgio’s made the decision to enter the In-Home Care business after experiencing the daunting task of finding professional, experienced and compassionate caregivers for their own parents. Our Westford office serves seniors living in the communities of western Middlesex County.
Senior Helpers specializes in providing professional caregivers to enable our clients to “age in place”. We can help with personal care such as toileting, bathing, dressing and ambulation assistance as well as "socialization", companionship and transportation. Our caregivers do meal preparation (and clean-up), medication reminders, laundry and light housekeeping.
We are also the industry leader for Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Our Senior Gems dementia program has allowed our caregivers to very effectively provide the best possible care to individuals who suffer from cognitive impairment.
We honor and support our Veterans (and their spouses) and have partnered with an organization to assist our clients in completing the application process for the Veterans Administration Aid and Attendant Pension Benefit that is available to pay for in-home care.
All of our caregivers are employees of our company. This means that we don’t use independent contractors and our caregivers go through our interviewing and screening process. Our caregivers have personal and employment reference checks as well as a Massachusetts (CORI) background check and a Registry of Motor Vehicle driving record check. They are fully insured and bonded and work under the supervision of our staff Registered Nurse.
