• New Boston Street bridge to open sometime around Labor Day (homenewshere.com) — A long-awaited traffic link between East and North Woburn is set to reopen around Labor Day, with residents invited to walk the new New Boston Street bridge before cars use it. The $28 million project reconnects key industrial and residential areas, supporting thousands of jobs and hundreds of new apartments along New Boston Street, Commerce Way, and near Anderson Station.

• Public nuisance hearing opened and continued… Council asks Richard Circle landlords to clean up fire-damaged property (homenewshere.com) — Woburn city councilors are pressing the owners of a fire-damaged East Woburn home on Richard Circle to address safety and appearance concerns while they battle their insurance company. Neighbors say the boarded-up house, stagnant pool, and wildlife are a growing nuisance, and the council has given the landlords 30 days to work with the building commissioner before the hearing resumes in October.
