Now, a new report says that Eric Trump's foundation took money meant for kids with cancer and sent it to Trump businesses. (Patch).

Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke is in the spotlight in a civil suit brought by an inmate who was forced to give birth while shackled. He may also soon be facing a class action suit on behalf of 40 female inmates who say they were shackled while receiving treatments for pregnancy-related care. (Patch).


Penny Saved May Be Penny Earned; $270 In Pennies = Rejected Tax Payment

Brian McGonegal thinks the $270 Jackson, Michigan, charged him as a special assessment to clean his yard is ridiculous. So he paid it in pennies. The town rejected it. He's arguing. (Patch).


Uber Fires 20

Embattled ride-hailing company Uber has fired 20 employees as part of an investigation into the company's culture. A law firm looking into 215 human resources claims took no action in 100 of the cases, sent 31 employees into counseling and gave seven employees final warnings. The firm is still investigating 57 of the cases. (Patch).


Potbelly Pig's Big Belly May Lead To Animal Abuse Charges

Maybelle, a potbelly pig, is supposed to weigh about 100 pounds, maybe 110. She was found at 200 pounds. Animal rescue workers took her in. Now her owner may face animal abuse charges. (Patch).

It was 38 years ago today. The rock and roll pioneer played at the White House at the request of President Carter. Three days later he pleaded guilty to tax evasion. (Patch).


Naked And Unafraid - Burglar Is Caught
After allegedly robbing a coffee stand, a burglar - trying to avoid sheriff's deputies - stripped off all his clothes. He was trying to blend in with the fauna, according to a detective. (Patch).
