4 Reasons the Fight For Air Climb is a Family Affair

Free children's activities offered at the Fight For Air Climb at One Kansas City Place

On Sunday, February 24 the American Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City will host the Fight For Air Climb at One Kansas City Place. While the main event features a climb of the tallest building in both Kansas and Missouri, it also includes activities for the rest of the family.

Here are four reasons to bring the whole family to the Fight For Air Climb:

  1. Happy Faces Entertainment: Throughout the day, Happy Faces Entertainment will be on stage with music, dancing, games, and other activities for kids and families. They will also be giving out prizes for attendees throughout the day.
  2. Balloons and Face Painting: At the event, balloons and face painting will be available for kids.
  3. Health Education: Vendor booths will be spread throughout the event, where the Lung Association and local organizations will educate attendees about lung disease, lung health, and local resources for both kids and adults.
  4. Anyone Can Climb! In past years, kids as young as four have participated in the Fight For Air Climb and adults up to 76-years-old. This is a great way to teach your child about fitness and giving to a charitable cause.

The Fight For Air Climb is open to individuals, friends and family teams, first responder teams and corporate teams. Each year, the event attracts hundreds of local residents and people from across the country who race up the stairs of One Kansas City Place (42 floors, 902 steps) to raise awareness and money to fight lung disease. The Fight For Air Climb at One Kansas City Place is presented locally by Empower Retirement.
