After Body ‘Unearthed’ At Former Concord Heights Drug Den, Police Seek Tips
Crimeline: The investigation of a body found at 58 Airport Road is "an active and open"; cops say there are no threats to the public.

CONCORD, NH — Police have released a short statement, without a lot of information, concerning the body investigators found buried on the site of a former drug den on the Concord Heights.
After spending time searching the house in mid-March, police were back at 58 Airport Road in Concord for four days late last week and into the weekend and discovered a body on Saturday. Initially, investigators searched the property and dug in an area on the south side of the property. On Friday, an excavator was brought in to move around a lot of dirt from the property. Investigators were seen sifting through dirt on Saturday, and a body was moved in the late afternoon.
A Patch reader submitted this security footage of the body being removed from the parcel. It has been edited for length.

Deputy Chief John Thomas of the Concord Police Department, in a Concord Regional Crimeline alert, confirmed the remains of a person “were unearthed and recovered” from the backyard of a Concord home recently. He said the body had been moved to the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office, but there would be no comment due to the discovery being “an active and open investigation.” He said there were “no threats to the public” concerning the incident.
Thomas said police were asking the public to submit any tips or information about 58 Airport Road or anything else that may be connected to the case to the Concord Regional Crimeline.
It is unknown why, exactly, more information has not been released concerning the case.
Often, a lack of immediate information about a case, especially during an autopsy, is due to toxicology reports that frequently take quite a bit of time to fulfill. Sometimes, finding the next of kin can be difficult or not immediate, too.
Information can be submitted to the Crimeline at 603-226-3100 or online at concordregionalcrimeline.com.
