Concord Police Recover Body At Former Airport Road Drug Den Site: Watch
After three days of digging and sifting through dirt for evidence, investigators find a body; the case may involve a missing Concord man.
CONCORD, NH — For a third day, Concord police investigators were at the scene of a former drug den on Airport Road at Russell Street searching for clues, possibly involving a missing person case, while finding a body in the process.
On Saturday, police were looking for evidence at 58 Airport Road, a former drug den. This is the third day police have been at the home. More than half a dozen staffers were working at the scene around 1:45 p.m. Two police officers, including a detective who worked on the Steve and Djeswende Reid murder case, were seen dumping buckets of dirt through a sifter.
According to scanner chatter and witnesses, around 4:15 p.m., a stretcher with a tarp over it was removed from the property. Patch has learned a body was found buried at the site.

Michael Garrity, the director of communications for the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, would not comment on specifics of the case.
“We can confirm that the New Hampshire Department of Justice is aware of and is actively monitoring an ongoing death investigation in Concord,” he said, referring inquiries to both Concord police and the Merrimack County Attorney’s Office “for any further public updates.”

Paul Halvorsen, the county attorney, was unavailable for comment on Saturday night. Concord police refused to comment about the case on Friday and department watch commanders do not return calls for comment on weekends.
Just before 6 p.m., only a few officers were still at the scene.
A vehicle connected to the current owner of the property, a house flipper from Goffstown, was parked at the property. The flipper, MDR Rehab and Development LLC obtained the property after it was foreclosed upon for $180,000 in November 2023.
Most of the other officers had also cleared the scene, although investigation vans remained.
Police were also at the home across three days in March and refused comment about the investigation at that time.
While specifics about the investigation are unknown, on Friday, some began to speculate the activity at the home may involve the Anthony Meunier missing person case.
Meunier was reported missing by his family on Feb. 20, 2023. The Concord Regional Crimeline issued two alerts about his case — one in April 2023 and another in January 2024.
In the second alert, police posted an ATM security video from Bangor Savings Bank on Loudon Road of Meunier accessing cash on Feb. 17, 2023. The bank is half a mile from the Airport Road home. In the second alert, Deputy Chief John Thomas said Meunier was involved with associates who live on Airport Road.
The home at 58 Airport Road is the only known drug den in the area.
According to posts on Patch and superior court records, Meunier has a previous history of drug possession, methamphetamine distribution, felon in possession of weapons (handgun and knife), and other charges. He is a felon due to a drug possession conviction in Connecticut in 2008.
The former owner of the home, Todd Edward Spataro, a felon with a lengthy criminal history, was indicted in April on three acts prohibited charges from the house with an offense date of Feb. 3, 2023, involving allegations of fentanyl, cocaine, and psilocin possession. The offense was two weeks before Meunier was recorded on the ATM security camera. Spataro waived arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on the three felony charges on April 30, according to court records.
Spataro was also arrested on Jan. 15 on common nuisances, deal-possess prescription drugs, possession of a controlled drug-sale, and possession of a controlled drug charges, after an incident or investigation on Airport Road.
Many other people have been arrested at the home during the past year and a half.
