According to an affidavit, police were called to the Grappone Honda dealership on Route 3A at around 7:20 p.m. for a report of a man who had just broken a coffee pot inside the showroom and then left the business on foot.

The officer took a description of the man, who was last seen wearing a dark sweatshirt walking north along Route 3A, and then checked to see if he could find him. The officer found a man with a sweatshirt near the Days Inn who denied being at the dealership. After speaking with him, the officer “soon determined this male was not the person I was looking for,” according to the report.

While speaking with him, the officer noticed another man walking north in the parking lot of Honda also wearing a sweatshirt and went over to speak with him. The man, Paquette, reportedly continued to walk away from the officer while saying he was doing nothing wrong.

“The male paused and asked me if he was free to leave,” the officer alleged. “I told him he was being detained because I was investigating a criminal mischief case which just occurred inside the Honda showroom. The male refused to give me his name and told me I had no reason to detain him.”

The officer again requested his name and warned that if he continued to walk away, he would be considered resisting arrest. Paquette allegedly refused to identify himself and continued to walk away, so he was arrested.

“(Paquette) spun away from me and attempted to run away,” the officer alleged. “I grabbed his arm, placed him in an arm bar, and escorted him to the ground.”

Paquette allegedly continued to struggle and wouldn’t allow himself to get cuffed. He also allegedly kicked the officer in the shin and was able to free himself. As Paquette reportedly stood up and tried to run away, the officer Tased him. Paquette allegedly disconnected the wires – which became caught in his baggy sweatshirt – and fled. The officer was able to catch up with him in the woods and Tased him again.

A lieutenant also arrived at the scene and they were both able to get Paquette into handcuffs.

Bow Police were able to ID Paquette from his license and found that he had an active warrant issued on Oct. 6, 2015, out of Concord District Court for nonappearance on drug charges, $500 cash bail. He was held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections and arraigned remotely on Oct. 8.

During the last four years, Paquette has been arrested numerous times, according to Concord NH Patch reports, for willful concealment, possession of controlled drugs, criminal mischief, false inspection or registration sticker, and warrants.
