Concord Police Log: Shoplifting Items for a Perfect Italian Meal Leads to Arrest

Plus, man riding bike on the sidewalk nearly hits cops, arrested on warrants, pot, and one arrested after Rumford Street drug den raided.

Christopher R. Paquette, 25, of Abbott Road in Concord, was arrested at 1:08 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2015, on a bench warrant out of Concord District Court from Sept. 15, 2015, for nonappearance in court. Officers were sent to Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road for a report of the theft of Coricidin cold tablets by a man who later fled on a skateboard. One officer checked out surveillance video while other officers caught up with a man allegedly matching the description of the thief – Paquette – on the campus bike path at NHTI. He was arrested on the bench warrant, given a no trespass letter, and is due in court on Oct. 5.

Virginia A. Harriman, 33, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. on Sept. 16, for theft of lost or mislaid property at the Dunkin’ Donuts on Loudon Road on Aug. 27, 2015. She was arrested on a warrant at her apartment and is due in court on Oct. 19.

Christopher M. Becker, 28, of Thorndike Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:01 a.m. on Sept. 15, on bench warrants and possession of controlled drugs. Officers and a sheriffs deputy were near White Mountain Coffee on Pleasant Street when a man on a bicycle rode through a neighboring parking lot and onto the sidewalk in front of them, almost hitting the officers. The rider, Becker, was stopped and checked, and found to have warrants out of Concord District Court for three driving after revocation or suspension charges for nonpayment of fines, $1,835 cash to settle. Becker, according to a check, was also warned in June not to ride his bike on the sidewalk. He was arrested and during a pat down, officers allegedly found a smoking device and marijuana bud in a plastic container in his pocket. He’s due in court on Oct. 19.

Tyler J. Annis, 20, of Branch Turnpike in Concord, was arrested at 8:44 p.m. on Aug. 19, for unlawful possession of alcohol. A detective was sent to the area of I-93 north onramp near Exit 13 for a report of an intoxicated person. He caught up with the man, Annis, and the two realized they knew each other from previous encounters. Annis was given a field sobriety test and since he was under 21, was arrested. He’s due in court on Sept. 28.

Jacob T. Gines, 19, of Beacon Street in Concord, was arrested at 4:34 p.m. on Aug. 18, on a simple assault charge from Beacon Street on Aug. 12, 2015. He’s due in court on Sept. 28.

Jennifer L. Hartshorn, 47, of North Main Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:53 p.m. on Aug. 17, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were sent to Market Basket on Storrs Street for a shoplifter in custody who allegedly stole about $30 worth of items including pasta, bread, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and sauce, vinegar, basil, ground beef, and other items. Since she was arrested on June 21, 2015, a breach of bail charge was added.

Scott Boudrea, 51, of Earle Street in New Bedford, MA, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. on Aug. 15, for driving after revocation or suspension and a bench warrant. While on North State Street, an officer saw a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and pulled the vehicle over. A check revealed that Boudrea’s license was suspended on a DWI charge in Massachusetts and that there was a warrant out of Laconia District Court for nonappearance in court, with cash bail set at $500. He was arrested and refused bail services.

Raymond Clegg, 55, of Loudon Road in Concord, received a summons at 2:50 p.m. on Aug. 14, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer from Walmart on Loudon Road involving shoplifted items, including a bike lock and a can of beer, valued at nearly $18.

Scott G. Gardner, 28, of Rumford Street in Concord, was arrested at 6:59 a.m. on Aug. 13, for possession of controlled drugs. A sergeant, detectives, and other officers were sent to 74 Rumford St., a known drug den in the West End, and executed search warrants to two apartments and the basement of the building. Police took pictures of the apartments and basements and logged in a number of items from the apartment. In Gardner’s room, police allegedly found a zippered pouch with marijuana inside that was placed under the nightstand and he was arrested. 

Musa Badjie, 29, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. on Aug. 12, on simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault charges from Aug. 11, 2015, on Loudon Road. He was arrested in the parking lot of his apartment.

Gerald W. Basnar, 30, of Oak Street in Northwood, received a summons at 12:07 p.m. on Aug. 11, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer at the Walmart on Loudon Road involving the alleged shoplifting of two DVDs and six Halo mini-toys valued at $35.
