Burgerfest Raises $11K+ for Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth
Brian Shea: Annual Barley House event for CHaD and Fred's Fund surpassed expectations, $10,000 goal.

CONCORD, NH – The numbers are in and this year’s Burgerfest, held at The Barley House in both Concord and North Hampton, raised more than $11,000 – $11,528, to be exact – for Fred’s Fund at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth.
For every burger sold, the restaurant donated $1, a business sponsor donated $1, and if customers bought a beer from the New Hampshire Distributor’s beer list, that company will kick in $1, too.
According to owner Brian Shea, this year’s goal was $10,000, for the two locations, and with the help of all the local business sponsors, the event was able to beat the goal.

The most popular burger in Concord was the Bacon Weave Juicy Lucy Burger – which also won last year – with more than 700 orders. The Old Fashion and Jameson burgers both were in the 300s, Shea noted.
“(This was) the first year of Burgerfest at our North Hampton location (and it) was a nice introduction to the Seacoast community,” Shea noted. “They responded in kind, sending the Dublin Burger into first place.”
