CONCORD, NH — A Concord man was arrested twice Wednesday on assault charges in Bow, according to police. Around 12:30 p.m., police were sent to River Road for a report of a disturbance. When they arrived, they spoke with the victim and then, Jason Rowan, 43, of Concord.

After an on-scene investigation, Rowan was charged with assault, booked and processed, and released on personal recognizance bail. Police said on Facebook that as a part of his bail, Rowan was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

At 11:30 p.m. that night, police were sent to a report of a disturbance inside of a vehicle driving north on Route 3A. Police later found the vehicle on Tallwood Drive. Police accused Rowan of assaulting and being with the victim again — leading to a second assault charge and a breach of bail charge, too.

Rowan, according to police, was held without bail and sent directly to the Merrimack County House of Corrections where he was arraigned by video later, according to police.

During the past year, according to Concord and Merrimack police, Rowan has been arrested on domestic violence-second-degree assault-strangulation, second-degree assault, and numerous simple assault charges as well as driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, and stalking charges. He was indicted last year on the strangulation and second-degree assault charges in Merrimack County Superior Court.
